ESA research activities in its GNSS Maritime Road-map identified the need for a future maritime integrity concept. Based on these, two new techniques are now being studied: adaptive integrity based on monitoring of users data, and generation of safe paths by aggregation of GNSS Big DataTo be tested, these concepts also need specialized laboratory facilities and tools because they combine multiple sources of data provided by sensors and services beyond GNSS (e.g. Radar, gyro, speed and distance measuring equipment (SDME),echo-sounder, eloran, AIS, cameras, communications, etc.). The next step needed is the development of a proof-of-concept with a testset-up combining both real live campaigns as well as laboratory conditions to be able to test these concepts.This activity encompasses the following : 1-Requirement identification/consolidation, 2-Design of Test-bed and Laboratory Test Facility, 3-Assembly, integration and validation activities, 4-Test campaigns, 5-Conclusions and recommendations for further developments
