The main purpose of the Galileo 2nd Generation Security Chain (G2G-SC) is to develop the classified test tools to verify the correct implementation and robustness of all G2G Security Functions and the operational stability of the security infrastructure. This encompasses, among others, all new security functions introduced with respect to G1G and the adaptation of G1G Security Functions to the new G2G Key Management approach. Options will be included in this procurement for the extension of maintenance and operations. A G2G industry information day will be organized by the European Space Agency in the first half of September. Please consult this website, where the invitation notice is expected to be released in the next 1-2 weeks. Procurement procedure: Restricted procedure (art 164.1.b Financial Regulations) in 2 Stages. For security sensitive items, participating conditions and related restrictions will be applicable. Participating conditions will be published as part of the tender documentation. Stage 1 is currently expected in the October 2021 timeframe and Stage 2 is currently expected in the December 2021 timeframe, provided the Stage 1 is smoothly concluded.
