The main purpose of the Galileo 2nd Generation Filling Device (G2G-FD) is to develop a new Key Filling Device covering Galileo 1st and 2nd Generation needs. The G2G-FD will support all system and segment activities where a security module is involved with the main objective to support the G2SB1 first launch and subsequent G2G IOV activities. In the frame of this activity, the G2G Key Filling device will be developed for the purpose of supporting the validation of system and segment needs. The activity will also include the accreditation and procurement of additional recurrent units. Options will be included in the procurements for additional G2G FD deliveries. A G2G industry information day will be organized by the European Space Agency in the first half of September. Please consult this website, where the invitation notice is expected to be released in the next 1-2 weeks. Procurement procedure: Restricted procedure (art 164.1.b Financial Regulations) in 2 Stages. For security sensitive items, participating conditions and related restrictions will be applicable. Participating conditions will be published as part of the tender documentation. Stage 1 is currently expected in the October 2021 timeframe and Stage 2 is currently expected in the December 2021 timeframe, provided the Stage 1 is smoothly concluded.
