Mission operations teams rely on a number of operational products, which are required to configure and instantiate activities with the spacecraft and ground systems. These products include Flight Operations Procedures (FOP), mission information base (TM/TC), command sequences, saved TC stack files, display configuration, mission planning configuration and rules, simulator scripts, simulator breakpoints, network interface configuration files (SICF/SLE), automation procedures, automation configuration files and other scripts and tools. These products have often dependencies among each other, for example, an updated TC can have impact in the FOP or in the simulator script where it is used. To ensure that changes are consistently applied across all the operational products, a continuous integration approach could be used to automate the testing and validation across the board every time a change is implemented. The activity tasks are: Identify the portfolio of operational products managed by flight operations, Identify typical dependencies, define the requirements and propose an architecture Develop the required interfaces to allow the validation and testing throughout the operations life cycle Implement a prototype a CI environment that supports automated testing and deployment of the products to the operational environment. Demonstrate the validation of the concept in an end-to-end simulation Optionally, seek a further demonstration with an operational mission at ESA.
