The production of Copernicus Space Component (CSC) Sentinel products relies on the use of instrument data processors in line with the corresponding instruments design, processing algorithms and output data format and quality.The need for an increased production flexibility to efficiently serve users, particularly for on-demand data access, and for an operational optimization to efficiently benefit from cloud-based environments is calling for a re-engineering of the Sentinels instrument data processors.The CSC Data Processors Re-engineering procurement will cover the following key objectives:-The definition of a Processor Framework including the harmonization of processors interfaces, architecture and implementation baseline as well as the optimization of output data format and packaging for user access and for mid-term/long-term archiving purposes;-The organization of Best Practices for the re-engineering of the different processors;-The re-engineering of the currently Sentinel-1/2/3(Land) operational processors.The CSC Data Processors re-engineering is funded by the Copernicus Programme (EU funded programme) and will be open exclusively to economic operators which have their registered office in an EU Member State or a Country participating to the EU Copernicus Programme.The Invitation To Tender (ITT) package (Cover Letter, Statement of Work, Special Conditions of Tender, Draft Contract) will be available on ESA tendering website (EMITS – http://emits.sso.esa.int/emits/owa/emits.main) .The issue of the Invitation To Tender is foreseen in October/November 2020. In order to access the ITT Package from EMITS, Tenderers must be registered in esa-star as potential ESA suppliers.
