The service in scope of this procurement will replace the current SSR3 service contract (esacloud). The new service will also implement synergies by gradually adding commodity IT infrastructure components and services which are currently under the scope of the existing SSR2 and CASP contracts. In order to maximise the financial efficiency of the services, hardware and software assets will remain ESA property and offered to the contractor as Customer-Furnished Items (CFI).The service foresees to include a number of modifications to support future evolutions for cloud adoption, especially in the domains of infrastructure automation, platforms and DevOps. The goal is to support new, cost efficient, application development best practices both for corporate and programme directorates – and deliver1. Common IT Infrastructure as a Service (computing, storage, networking) delivered through the ESA private cloud.2. Brokering and added-value management of public cloud infrastructure services (hybrid cloud).3. Dedicated, fully customised Infrastructure Services when required.4. Common Platform as a Service delivered on top of the Infrastructure as a Service components (private, public, hybrid).
