To support the instigation of new activities for ESA Business Applications at a national level, the Agency has established a network of Ambassador Platforms across various Member States.ESA Business Applications collaborates with ESAs Technology Transfer and Business Incubation Office (TTPO) where appropriate in order to develop synergies such in as promoting events. ESA TTPO coordinates anetwork of Business Incubation Centres (BICs) that are managed by local champions who connect the centres to local industry, universities, research organisations, government and investor communities and facilitate the transfer of space-developed technologies to commercial applications. ESA BIC Lazio in Italy opened in 2005, and is managed by the Italian company BIC Lazio SpA. It is located atthe business incubator ITech in Rome, Italy, which is situated near the European Space Research Institute (ESRIN) in Frascati, Italy.The Italian AP shall work with ESA in the role of awareness raising and promotion of space applications in order to help improvethe throughput of ESA Business Applications activities and consortia.
