The purpose of this Tender is to award a contract for the outsourced Facility Management activities at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), located in Villanueva de la Canada (Spain), both for the Hard (Maintenance and Operations) and the Soft Services (Helpdesk, Switchboard, Catering, Cleaning, Stores, etc.). ESAC occupies 96,500 sqm of land in the heart of the natural park of the river Guadarrama. It has 18 buildings occupying 14,500 sqm, 380 people working on Site and hosts more than 17,000 visitors a year. The Site installations apart from office buildings, include complex installations; a state of the art fully automated (diesel generators back up) Power Plant, two Data Centres, a number of Operations Control Centres, a Drinking Water Treatment Plant and Space Antennas, to name a few. The duration of the contract is three years, with an option for a two years extension.
