The European Astronaut Centre (EAC) is aiming at developing maintenance and repair skills course, focusing on tools use and genericmaintenance/repair tasks. The said course is meant to be offered to those ESA Astronauts who have not had it in the past, and it isexpected to become a useful part of Basic and/or Pre-Assignment Training flows in the future. The main emphasis of the Maintenance & Repair Skills Training shall be put on practice in order to engage the trainees in learning, developing and practicing skills in variety of hands-on, real-life scenarios. All theory shall be embedded into the practical lessons, serving the goal of enabling conscious acquisition of skills. The practical part of the training shall cover basic maintenance skills as well as teach the trainees todeal with complex situations requiring problem solving.
