In the frame of the SEOM program, ESA aims at fostering new developments in the exploitation of Sentinel 2 data products. The present call will include the following six study areas: – Sentinel-2: Radiometric Validation: This activity aims to develop new methods to validate the radiometric (Level-1) data products from Sentinel-2, using vicarious methods and other sensors. – Sentinel-2: Atmospheric corrections and cloud screening This activity aim at developing and validating novel atmospheric corrections schemes to produce high quality surface reflectance using Sentinel-2 data products. – Sentinel-2: Classification: This activity aims at setting up a solid scientific basis for the development of advance land cover classification methods to exploit the new capabilities of sentinel two in view of generating global land cover maps – Sentinel-2: Multi-temporal analysis This activity aim at developing and validating novel advance techniques for the multi-temporal analysis and change detection of land cover exploiting the novel features ofSentinel 2 – Sentinel-2: Coastal and inland waters This activity aims to develop and validate new algorithms to produce novel geophysical products over inland water bodies including atmospheric correction and ocean colour. – Sentinel-2: Coral reefs This activityaims to develop and validate new algorithms relevant for coral reef monitoring based on Sentinel-2observations, including benthic mapping, coral reef health and mortality as well as bathymetry.
