In the frame of the SEOM program, ESA aims at fostering new developments in the exploitation of Sentinel 3 data products over Land.The present call will include the following 3 study areas: – Sentinel-3: Snow: The objective of this SEOM study is to develop, implement and validate algorithms for deriving snow parameter from both Sentinel 2 & 3 optical satellite data, appropriate for addressing ESA’€™s Cryosphere challenge C3 Seasonal snow, lake/river ice and land ice, their effect on the climate system, water resources, energy and carbon cycles: the representation of terrestrial cryosphere in land surface, atmosphere and climate models. – Sentinel-3:Primary Production over land: The objective of this SEOM study is to develop, implement and validate algorithm(s) for deriving the Global Primary Production and the Net Primary Production from Sentinel-3 data at global scale. – Sentinel-3: Surface-Atmosphere retrieval: The objective of this project is to develop and demonstrate the ability to retrieve a radiatively consistent set of geophysical products from combined Sentinel-3 SLSTR and OLCI visible and infrared data for use by earth-system modellers in NWP and climate research.
