Currently, the vast majority of dual-seat thruster valves for attitude control systems procured in Europe are coming from suppliers external to Europe. To date, despite the potential European market for such product no European supplier is identified capable to deliver a valve with either similar performance and/or competitive price. Therefore it is considered of strategic interest to developa fast acting thruster valve with two independent mechanical seats compatible with standard propellants: MON, MMH N2H4 at a competitive cost. The objective of the activity is to develop two dual seat thruster valve breadboard: one for a 1N monopropellant dual seat thruster application + one for a 10N bipropellant dual seat thruster application up to TRL4.
