The main objectives of the activity is the Phase A development of the LISA Gravitational Reference System Front-End Electronics (GRS-FEE).The principle of operation of LISA is based on laser ranging free-floating Test Masses (TMs) located in each of the three spacecrafts.The GRS FEE two main functions are to provide position sensing of the TM and to provide force and torque actuation of theTM, to implement control of the relative TM-S/C position and attitude. After consolidation of the requirements and analysis of theLISA Pathfinder FEE lessons learned, different options for the LISA GRS-FEE will be traded off, a preliminary design concept for the GRS-FEE will be developed and a phase B-C-D development plan proposed.
