As part of the overall Galileo 2nd Generation In Orbit Validation Ground Segment (G2G IOV Ground Segment), the G2G IOV Ground Control Segment has as main purpose the delivery of the relevant Ground Control System capabilities as an upgrade of the Galileo infrastructure in order to contribute to the following two versions of the system: (1) a first version supporting the LEOP, IOT and operations of up to two new families of Galileo Second Generation Batch1 (G2SB1) satellites, with the first launch planned in November 2024and (2) a second version of the system for the provision of Legacy Services, early versions of G2 system capabilities and overall G2G In Orbit Validation activities. Options in this procurement will include among other additional TTC station deployment, maintenance activities. A G2G industry information day will be organized by the European Space Agency in the first half of September. Procurement procedure: Restricted procedure (art 164.1.b Financial Regulations) in 2 Stages.For security sensitive items, participating conditions and related restrictions will be applicable.Participating conditions will be published as part of the tender documentation. Stage 1 is currently expected in the October 2021 timeframe and Stage 2 is currently expected in the December 2021 timeframe, provided the Stage 1 is smoothly concluded.
