This study shall investigate on a few test case the possibility to exploit platform magnetometers on board spacecraft for the detection and observation of space weather events. One targeted test case is the exploitation of LISA pathfinder magnetometers which should somehow detect some of the solar wind strongest magnetic field signatures. Another one is the exploitation of proba-2 AOCS magnetometers which measures Earth magnetospheric field.
