For an effective and predictable use of complex or critical EEE COTS components in space environment, it is of paramount importanceto define reference application circuits. As highlighted within the ESA Technology Strategy, the smart use of COTS components is envisaged to lead to an increase implementation of those devices. There are already running activities based on COTS, as an example GT17-021ED, and more will be requested to demonstrate the reliability and suitability for space application COTS EEE Parts. This activity intends to evaluate (based on ECSS-Q-ST-60-13 as guideline) commercial components suggested for reference designs for example but not limited to DCDC converters and processing modules, in a wide field of applications (avionics, power, communication…). Different schemes have to be considered based on the equipment classification.Procurement Policy: C(2) = A relevant participation (in terms of quality and quantity) of non-primes (incl.
