The overarching goal of the EO AFRICA RD Facility is to foster an African-European RD collaboration enabling an active research community and creative innovation processes for a continuous development of EO capabilities in Africa. The RD Facility will identifyAfrican EO research challenges, launch research calls, leverage modern cloud computing development tools and support a range of networking actions in close collaboration with the African and European research community. Following the long-term vision of the EO AFRICA (African Framework for Research, Innovation, Communities and Applications) initiative the RD Facility is a continuous activity and process supporting innovation in the EO sector in Africa.
