ECSAT is the European Centre for Satellite Applications and Telecommunications. It is the sole centre of the European Space Agency in the UK, based in the Harwell Campus, Oxfordshire.ECSAT Facility Management is looking to construct a Conference Facility, next to the existing Roy Gibson building in the Harwell Campus. The contract will be a Design and Build contract, covering RIBA stages 4, 5 and 6. The Employers Requirements developed by the architectural consortium from RIBA Stage 3 detailed design will be the technical baseline for the contractors construction detailed design and ultimately construction itself.The high-level Conference Facility will support events of up to 300 delegates in different configurations, with the necessary break out locations to enhance networking discussions. Extra meetings rooms will also support the daily meeting room demands for the Roy Gibson building. And finally, the Conference Facility ancillary part will include an ECSAT specific catering outfit to address the growing catering need. The ECSAT Conference Facility will be a BREEAM excellent building.
