The objective of this Invitation to Tender (ITT) is to procure the Copernicus Ground Segment Reference System (RS) service. The Reference System (RS) Service subject of this procurement is a key element of the Copernicus Space Component (CSC) Ground Segment covering the following main functions:- The set-up and governance of a public open source project management environment;- The distribution of qualified Copernicus Sentinel data processors (CFIs from ESA);- The implementation of an Open Source reference solution for the Copernicus Data Processing and Distribution functions;- The operation of a systematic sample production and distribution environment, based on the implemented solution;- The integration, benchmarking and qualification of new processors and dataflows, within the implemented solution;- The operation of ad-hoc production and distribution environments.The CSC Reference System Service is funded by the Copernicus Programme and will be open exclusively to economic operators which have their registered office in an EU Member State or a Country participating to the EU Copernicus Programme.An Industry Information Day addressing among others the Reference System procurement took place at ESRIN on 20th February 2020.
