In the past years, ESAC has been constantly evolving, both in the number of people at the Center and in the nature of the activities carried out in it.One of the most emblematic constructions on Site, is Building B.It houses mainly activities of Science at ESAC, but people from Communications and as well from other projects, work there too.It was built in the early 1990s and in its 2500sqm, it offers a mix of spaces including individual offices, shared offices, meeting rooms, conference rooms, data center (DC), and science operations rooms.As a result of the Site evolution, the lessons learnt from the COVID pandemic, and in accordance with the Departmental Estate Life-Cycle Management (ELCM) concept, a major refurbishment project is planned to start in 2022, and finish in mid-2024. It will not only renovate building B but it will as well express the new workplace flexibility and dynamic.
