The objective of this activity is to develop technologies to embed COTS sensors in manufacturing systems. This will be achieved through a review of relevant existing commercially available sensor technologies, the selection of a manufacturing process to be developed with embedded sensors and the definition, manufacturing and testing of a breadboard demonstrating the selected manufacturing process with embedded sensors. The current TRL of the envisaged technologies shall be 3. Within this GSTP activity, the TRL shall be raised to 5 in accordance with [AD1]. The activity shall be finalized within a maximum of 24 months.
