Located in Noordwijk, ESTEC is a test centre and hub for European Space Activities. The site covers 40 Ha of land and hosts offices for circa 2,700 people working daily on site. This project encompasses the refurbishment of one four story tower (Ac) and one three story tower (Ad) at the ESTEC site into a Modern Working Environment. The ESA Architect has established the spatial configuration and corresponding engineering of the modern office working environment as part of the development of the Detailed Design Engineering. The overall project objective is the interior refurbishment of the towers, integration in the current environment and connection to the existing ESTEC infrastructures. Ultimately, the Contractor shall deliver a new operational facility, fit for purpose and free from defects in line with the key requirements. ESA intends to select the Contractor in a 2-stage procurement approach. In the first Stage, the Agency shall issue a Call for Expression of Interest’ (Stage 1) open to all bidders within the ESA Members States, leading to the selection of four (4) bidders to participate in the „Restricted Competition” (Stage 2), which will finally lead to the selection of the Contractor.
