The vision of ESA is to improve the lives of people on Earth through Space. Space assets can provide excellent opportunities for enabling new services or making innovative improvements in existing services. In line with such vision, the aim of the study is to produce a robust and replicable methodology to assess and monitor the socio-economic impacts deriving from the use of space satellites in the Italian wider economy. The study should analyse the core space applications (EO, TLC, NAV and integrated applications and metheorology) and beyond to derive socio-economic impact for the space business and associated economic sectors that benefit. The study, applied to the specific Italian socio-economic ecosystem, should be focused in particular to the following economic sectors: Agricolture, Energy, Transports and logistics, Banks and Insurance.
