This activity responds to the continued need for generic data access, harmonization and visualization tools in the atmospheric domain and beyond. This need is also reinforced by recommendations from the ESA Atmospheric Science Conference – ATMOS-2018 and shall beconceived as a project to develop tools in response to end-user requirements. The current Atmospheric Toolbox consists of several software packages, with the main elements being CODA, HARP, VISAN and QDOAS. These software elements relate more generically to Data access (DAC), Data harmonization processing and comparison (DHA), Data visualization (DVI) and Integrated applications (IAP). The new Atmospheric Virtual Lab (AVL) development will build on this ESA investment and will broaden the functionality of the existing setof tools and the instruments to be covered. Specifically, a web-application will allow for a new user experience in handling related data.
