The objective is to develop to TRL 4 an ultra-stable laser diode drive source as required for driving ultra-coherent lasers employed in cold 87Rb atom gradiometer. The focus of the development will be to engineer a current source of ultra-high stability in amplitude and frequency in order to drive efficiently the critical 780 nm laser diodes including the realization of an accurate regulationsystem of the laser diode temperature. The design shall lead to optimization of mass and power and to achieve high reliability for the envisaged space environment.
