  • Spectroscopy and imaging at THz wavelength range (0.1 – 30 THz);
  • Hadamard spectroscopy
  • Compressive sensing (CS) imaging

Project objectives:  Experimental model of Hadamard spectrometer and CS imaging system in THz domain, for Space Applications

Activities:

  • Phase 1 – State of the art in THz imaging and Hadamard spectroscopy
  • Phase 2 – Concept of THz image spectrometer and simulation of imaging and spectroscopy
  • Phase 3 – Experimental model of THz image spectrometer
  • Phase 4 – Functions development for THz image spectrometer
  • Phase 5 – THz image spectrometer validation and evaluation

Contributions to the STAR programme objectives:

The project addresses Basic Technology Research Programme (TRP), one of ESA’s activities regarding technology and research ? may facilitate strong and long-term relations between Romanian entities and ESA.
