The objective of the proposed procurement is to develop a representative airborne instrument with observation parameters which are translatable to an eventual satellite version. It will consist of a Ku-band, along-track interferometric SAR with two line-of-sightsfor the retrieval of ocean vector surface currents. The main motivation behind the proposed development is to acquire representativedata through campaigns for analysing the quality of retrieved products. The activity encompasses the instrument development, airworthiness certification on an airborne carrier and a functional test flight.
