As part of the Copernicus Space Component (CSC) Programme, ESA has implemented the Copernicus Precise Orbit Determination (POD) Service as an across-mission procurement to the respective Sentinels Payload Data Ground Segments (PDGSs). The Copernicus POD Service is the element of the Core Sentinels PDGS responsible for the processing, validation, algorithm maintenance and operational quality control of the Sentinel-1, -2 and -3 POD products and systems.The Copernicus POD Service is a distributed facility, composed of experts, providing a service and expertise for nominal operations, quality control, corrective maintenance of algorithms and upgrade activities.The main objective of the ITT is to continue the operations of the Copernicus POD Service beyond 2020 through the operations and maintenance of the Near Real Time and Off Line processing chains for the generation of orbital information as well as management of the POD Quality Working Group, in line with the operational and data requirements of the respective PDGSs. The provision of a NRT orbit solution for the Sentinel-6 mission is included as an option.The POD Service is funded by the Copernicus Programme and will be open exclusively to economic operators that have their registered office in an EU Member State or a State participating in the Copernicus Programme.The ITT Package will be published on EMITS. In order to access the ITT package, economic operators interested in bidding to this procurement must be registered as potential ESA Tenderer.
