The maximum duration of the TSE of the Millennium took place in Romania, near Bucharest. ROSA acted as the Co-ordinator of the National Interministerial Committee ECLIPSE 99 and managed a complex program of scientific experiments and public communication.

Romania took an active position during the Conference and has been represented by Heads of Government institutions, as the National Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, the National Agency for Communications and Information Technology , the Romanian Space Agency, Mr. Dumitru Dorin Prunariu has been elected in the Drafting Group of the Conference.
