The Ceremony of Signing the Agreement beetwen the Government of Romania and NASA has been occcasioned by the official visit in the US of the Romanian Prime Minister, Mr. Mugur Isarescu. Mr. Prime Minister has signed the Agreement with Mr. Daniel Goldin, the Administrator of NASA.

The president of the Romanian Space Agency, Mr. Dumitru Dorin Prunariu, was a member of this delegation. He has signed the Agreement with Mr.John Schumacher, NASA Deputy Administrator for International Relations. Romanian Space Agency was designated to represent the Romanian Government in the frame of this Agreement promoting the development of space activities.
