Between 5 – 6 August 2021, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) organised the 10th IAA Conference on Space Systems as Critical Infrastructures. The event took place in hybrid mode in the Danube Delta, Romania.
On 14 May 1981, Romania was sending its first cosmonaut into space, becoming the 11th country in the world to do so. A series of events are taking place to mark this historic event and celebrate 40 years since the flight of Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu into space.
Today, 14 May 2021, from 11:00, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is organising an event to mark the 40th anniversary of the first Romanian to fly into space. The event takes place online with the participation of Dr. Eng. cosmonaut Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu as Guest of Honor.
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) signed a partnership agreement with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest (UMFCD) in order to initiate, develop and support the field of Space Medicine. The main component of the agreement is building an educational, research and innovation framework in order to align with the national and European strategy on Space Medicine.
