The president of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), Dr. Phys Marius-Ioan Piso, is one of the jury members of the Bucharest edition of EBEC (European BEST Engineering Competition), taking place 11-12 December at the Politehnica University Bucharest.

EBEC the biggest engineering competition in Europe, gathering each year the brightest student minds, to challenge their creativity, critical and practical thinking, as well as their teamwork skills. The competition consists of 3 levels, in 2 categories – Innovative Design and Case Study.

The journey starts with the first Local Round. The teams that propose the most creative, innovative, and efficient solutions advance to the National Round. The competition reaches the Grand Final with the International Round.

BEST Bucharest is hosting the Local Round of EBEC ‘21 for students of Politehnica University of Bucharest. The National Round will take place in Iași, Romania, and the Final in Zagreb, Croatia.

The competition has two sections: innovative design, where participants are encouraged to find the best solutions for daily struggles and case study — where teams will face a real or hypothetical problem for which they have to find the most inventive solution, proving analytical skills, strategic thinking, and presentation abilities.
