Big Data from Space 2021

on 18 February 2021

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites you to attend this year’s edition of the Big Data from Space 2021 conference, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA), the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission, and the European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen), with a help of ROSA and the University Politehnica of Bucharest. Registrations are open until 1 March 2021.

This is an outstanding opportunity to bring together researchers, engineers, developers and all those who use data provided from space in various activity fields. The conference, which was originally planned to be hosted by University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB), will take place online between 18 May and 20 May 2021.

The 2021 online edition of the Big Data from Space conference will emphasise not only on the insights that can be retrieved from Big Data from Space but also on the exploitation of these insights for foresight, that is our capacity of foreseeing.

This capacity is becoming increasingly important given the pace at which our World is changing because Space not only helps us understand what is happening outside the Earth, but also what is happening on our planet.

Along the prediction algorithms, the Big Data from Space 2021 conference will bring together themes related to science, technologies used for real-time data analysis, security, defense and development of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
