ROSA coordinates and promotes Romania's international cooperation in the space sector. This component includes activities such as:
- Participation of Romania as a full Member State to the European Space Agency (ESA) space missions and projects
- Participating to the ESA European Space Technology Master Plan
- Keeping in harmony the contribution to the European Union 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7), which lasted from 2007 until 2013
- Keeping in harmony the contribution to the European Union Horizon 2020 Programme, which lasts from 22014 until 2020
- Developing further involvement within European and NATO Agencies (EDA, EUSC, RTO)
- Wide bi-lateral cooperation with other space agencies (NASA, CNES, DLR etc.)
- Further developing global initiatives (UN-SPIDER, NEO etc.)
- The organisational frame for international cooperation is based on consolidating ROSA's coordination, representation, research and development and operational functions, as well as developing space specific infrastructures.
