The concept is linked to the support that is given by ESTEC to A5ME and FLPP. The objective will be to study options to recycle boil-off hydrogen from the LH2 tank by means of a compressor and intercooler, as an alternative to dumping it overboard or using it, inpart, for the SCATE attitude control system. The study will have to include a trade-off to determine if the identified technology, if matured for space application, will provide a mass and cost benefit compared to the current practice.
