The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is inviting Romanian start-ups to take part in the 3rd annual IAC2020 Startup Pitch Session, organised by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) in the frame of the upcoming International Astronautical Congress 2020 (IAC 2020 – The Cyberspace Edition), that will be taking place from 12 – 14 October 2020. The registration should be completed by 4 September 2020.
ESA’s CryoSat-2 and NASA’s ICESat-2 satellites were brought together for an unique campaign: CRYO2ICE.
With hundreds of satellites launched every year, in-space collisions and the creation of fast-moving fragments of space debris – or ‘space junk’ – are becoming increasingly likely, threatening our continued human and technological presence in space.
With the amount of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere approaching levels that humans may have never before experienced, the need to monitor sources of emissions is more urgent than ever – hence the Copernicus Carbon Dioxide Monitoring mission being one of Europe’s new high-priority satellite missions. On 31 July 2020, ESA signed a contract to build the first two satellites that make up the mission.
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is inviting scientists to submit proposals for the next Earth Explorer mission. The call was launched by the European Space Agency (ESA), as part of ESA’s continuing commitment to realise cutting-edge satellite missions to advance the scientific understanding of our planet and to show how new technologies can be used in space.
