Announcement of Opportunity Investigations into Biological Effects of Radiation Using the GSI Accelerator Facility

on 13 September 2017

The European Space Agency (ESA) invites researchers to put forward research projects on the effects of space radiation on the crew during long term missions by using GSI’s large particle accelerator in Darmstadt, Germany. The deadline to submit the letter of intent with experiment ideas is 15 September 2017. This Announcement of Opportunity is open to researchers working for a scientific institution in Romania, an ESA Member State.

Experiments should contribute to improved risk assessments or study countermeasures to allow a safe and stable human exploration of, e.g., the Moon or Mars.

More details about the Announcement of Opportunity can be accessed here.
