Press conference on Romania's access to the European Space Agency (ESA) and the launch of GOLIAT Romanian microsatellite

Following the promulgation of the law on ratification of Romania's accession to the European Space Agency (ESA), Romania officially became, on December 22, 2011, the 19th member of ESA, as the two former socialist country that got the position (after the Czech Republic). The leaders of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) will answer media questions on the meaning, the provisions and the importance of this agreement.

The GOLIAT Romanian microsatellite launch will be performed during the first flight of the new European Vega rocket and it is scheduled for 13 February 2012. The satellite's functional testing were done and it is now integrated with other seven satellite on the launcher at the French Guiana Space Centre of ESA. ROSA will hold the presentation of GOLIAT mission press-kit. 

The press conference will be held on Friday, January 20 this year, at 12:00, at the Romanian Space Agency - 21-25 Mendeleev Street.
