on 04 August 2017

UPDATE 1 September: Registrations for the “Today's European Space Programmes: Applications and Synergies with a view on Eastern Europe” conference are now open. The deadline to register is 30 September 2017.

Between 26 – 27 October 2017, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) together with the European Space Agency (ESA) and with the support of the European Commission will organise the “Today's European Space Programmes: Applications and Synergies with a view on Eastern Europe” conference. The event is built upon the successful series of the Copernicus Conference, extended this year to include European space programmes on satellite telecommunications and navigation – Galileo, Copernicus and Satcom. The event is organised under the auspices of the Romanian Ministry of Research and Innovation and it will be hosted by the Romanian Parliament.

Organised since 2012, the Copernicus conference has become an annual reference event for the Earth Observation (EO) community in Eastern Europe, informing the users and the service providers in this part of the world about the benefits and business opportunities created, while promoting a sustainable Earth Observation in Romania and in the region.

This year, the debates will be extended to the European space programmes on satellite telecommunications and navigation – Galileo, Copernicus and Satcom – and will try to emphasize the synergies and the way spatial integrated applications sustain national development strategies and programmes.

Details regarding the venue, agenda and participant registration forms will be published on the ROSA events website.
