Small/cube satellites are very attractive for use in several applications. Cubesats were initially envisioned primarily as educational tools or low cost technology demonstration platforms that could be developed and launched within one or two years. Recently, , more advanced cubesat missions have been developed and proposed, indicating that cubesats have clearly started to transition from being solely educational and technology demonstration platforms to offer opportunities for low-cost real science and commercial missions.All these missions lack a large (between 1 and 3m) deployable antenna to offer the maximum benefit and science return. This technology has been identified as enabling technology. This activity encompasses the following tasks: Large unfurlable offset fed reflector concepts with low stowage ratio for small/cube satellite shall be traded-off and a baseline architecture selected. The selected reflector concept shall be designed in detail. A demonstrator shall be designed, manufactured and tested. The test campaign shall include, as a minimum, deployment/stowage test, surface profile measurement and RF measurement.
