World Space Week, the largest public event in the world dedicated to the celebration of space, takes place between 4 – 10 October. Over 100 Romanian organisations and institutions have responded to the invitation to join the celebrations. They are organising educational and other outreach activities centred on this year’s theme – „Exploring New Worlds in Space”.
On 24 – 26 November 2017, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), in synergy with the European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) Romania, organise the Exo-RO National Rover Competition for high school students.

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian university Masters and PhD students to participate to the Rosetta Science Operations Scheduling Legacy workshop. The course is offered by the ESA Education Office in collaboration with the Science Operations Department and it will take place at ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Centre, at ESA’s European Space Security and Education Centre (ESEC) in Redu, Belgium, between 3 – 6 October 2017. 41 students and 13 teachers from "Grigore Moisil" high school in Timisoara visited the European Space Agency’s ESRIN center, located in Frascati, Italy. The visit was coordinated by Mr. Moise Jurca, Qualtech CEO. Mr. Florin-Corneliu Belea coordinated the school group.
ESRIN was established in 1966 and it is known as the ESA Centre for Earth Observation, one of the five ESA specialised centres in Europe. The world’s largest database of environmental data for both Europe and Africa is managed from ESRIN.
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian students to take part in the Concurrent Engineering Challenge organised by ESA Academy from 12 to 15 September 2017 at ESA Academy’s Training and Learning Centre. ESA is looking for 22 university students from an ESA Member or Associate State with an engineering or physics background. The deadline for applications is 24 July 2017.
The finals of the 2017 National CanSat Competition took place on 19 – 23 April. The event was organised by ESERO Romania, a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA).
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian Master and PhD students to participate at the 2018 edition of the „Fly Your Thesis!” programme, which gives participants the opportunity to run an experiment during parabolic flights. The deadline to register is 10 September 2017.
Starting from 19 April and until 23 April, seven student teams participate at the finals of the 2017 National CanSat Competition. The event is organised by ESERO Romania and it will take place at the Elie Radu Technical College and the George Valentin Bibescu Aerodrome in Ploiesti.
