ESA training course on product assurance and safety for students

on 03 April 2017

The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites Romanian Masters or PhD students to sign up for the Product Assurance and Safety training course, organised by the European Space Agency (ESA). The event takes place at the ESA Redu Centre in Belgium, from 12 to 15 June 2017. The application deadline is 24 April 2017.

The course organised by ESA aims to train the new generation of product assurance and safety engineers. They play a crucial role in space mission operations because they have to anticipate problems and identify possible points of failure for materials, mechanical parts, processes and electrical components of spacecraft and launchers.

The class will take place between 12 – 15 June 2017, at ESA’s Redu Centre in Belgium. It will be structured on several modules, familiarising the students with the field.

In order to participate at this course, participants must be aged between 18 – 32 years old and must be enrolled as fulltime Master or PhD students at a university studying engineering or scientific subjects. Participants also have to come from an ESA Member or Associate State.

Selected students will receive a sponsorship provided by ESA which will cover accommodation and meals expenses. At the same time, they will also receive up to 200 euro for travelling to Belgium.

The deadline for applications is 24 April 2017.

More details on the course, but also on the application requirements, are available here.
